I was in Denver on a business trip and decided to meet up with the Smoldts in Breckenridge for a day. They took me on a beautiful hike on the Mohawk Lakes Trail where we saw an old abandoned cabin and mining equipment, mountain lakes, and stunning views. I also bought a big yellow fleece at the ski swap, which came in handy on the hike. Be sure to check out the panorama I stitched together.
Some friends and I went to an area near Datil, NM to go climbing over Labor Day weekend. This was by far my favorite place I’ve been climbing yet. All the holds are giant jugs and they tend to be overhang-y. Other than the occasional rain (timeout!), we had perfect weather all weekend. I am definitely coming back here someday.
